I was’t really sure what to expect of today. I had already met the other two fellows; Joe I met in Tokyo while we were waiting for our connecting flight and Eric and I had dinner last night.
Orientation at the U.S. Embassy sounded so ominous. So formal. I have to admit that between all the guards, security, and rules I felt a bit intimidated. However, our meeting with Ryan and Ej was very informative and pleasant. It is nice to finally meet people you have been talking to.
We also gave a talk to students and others at De Lasalle University tonight. I am impressed at the dialog shared between us (the speakers) and those who attended. It is amazing how much I am learning and how much two vastly different countries so far apart can be so similar.
