WORK ARRANGEMENT: LAST MINUTE MEETINGS
This is one of the busiest weeks so far with a lot of work arrangements, approvals, meetings before leaving my current paid job behind for a good five weeks. I had an interesting day today, whereby I get to join a Government Link Companies dialogue on Food & Beverages which allow me to understand our current mandate at home. It’s good start to Think… how can I add value through YSEALI ICMA.
BRINGING OUT SUITCASE: GETTING READY A SPRING CLEAN OF MY MIND
Packing for a city with seasonal weather is never easy. Especially when aiming to pack as light as possible. In Brunei, it is summer all year round and packing for Spring and unpredictable weather seems very daunting. Upon checking the weather forecast for my placement at Dubuque, Iowa, it was hit by a snow storm for few days. Snow sounds fun but it will end once we reach. Mixed feelings. I’ts normally heard we spring clean cars and houses. Now, it’s time to spring clean my mind through YSEALI. Pausing all my current work duties for a while.
EMBARKING FOR LONG HAUL TRAVELS: STEPPING OUT OF COMFORT ZONE
Finally the wait is almost over and SPRING YSEALI 2018 is happening real soon! This just got me thinking. There are multiple ways and multi-legs to travel to the United States. Comparing to some other fellows, I know I shouldn’t complain much about my flight legs to Washington DC since I get to transit via Hong Kong for a roast goose and an all time favourite, egg tarts. Safe flight fellows and can’t wait to see you all!
